Mail Service

Microsoft Mail Post Office

Microsoft Mail Post Office can receive and store mail. It is controlled with the control panel Microsoft Mail Post Office applet. This package does not create accounts for domain users automatically. Options:

  • Create a New Workgroup Postoffice
  • Administer an Esisting workgroup Postoffice

Client Configuration

Using the desktop inbox, you can configure the Microsoft exchange client to connect to the postoffice. The control panel "Mail and FAX" applet can be used to configure the configuration. Selecting properties after right clicking on the inbox will accomplish the same thing.

Microsoft Exchange Server

Microsoft exchange server is a separate package and can store and route mail both on the network and to and from the internet. Microsoft exchange server can create mail accounts for all domain users automatically.
