There is another Microsoft Windows flaw which allows attacks similar to what happened when the Blaster worm appeared. I expect another suite of worms to appear within two to six weeks from now which will spread using this vulnerability. What this means to you is that if you don't update your system now, you may get a worm which will affect the performance of your computer in the next few weeks.  Consequences may be anything from inconvenience to loss of your data and possible re-installation of your operating system.

Everyone using Windows 2000, NT, XP, and Server 2003 should patch this vulnerability immediately to protect themselves against the new set of viruses and worms which will soon appear. Microsoft says Windows Me systems are not affected but made no comment about Windows 98.  Windows 98 is not like ly to be vulnerable, but Windows 98 users should check the windows update site at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com to be sure.  To protect against the latest very serious Microsoft Windows vulnerability for Windows 2000, NT, XP, and Server 2003:
