Installation

Requirements

  • 30386 based microprocessor or later.
  • 30 MB Hard drive
  • 4 MB RAM, 8 MB Recommended
  • VGA video, Super VGA recommended

Windows Mail file locations:

  1. In WinMeYou go to the old machine, C:\Windows.000\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\

    In 2000 \Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\

  2. Copy the *.wab the address book to your new machine.
  3. go to the C:\Windows\Application Data\Identities\{}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\ In 2000 \Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\
  4. Copy all files under the folder *.dbx to your new machine
  5. Then at the new machine, open the OE5, at the menu, File, import, there you can import "Address" and "message". Browse to the location of those address book and *.dbx respectively
